  1. Email attachments. If you are having a problem opening an email attachment, then you may be trying to open the attachment in the wrong program. You may want to try opening the document in WordPad, which is a built-in program for Windows. Using a built-in program may make it easier to open attachments. If that doesn’t work, contact the person who sent you the email and ask them to send it again in a different format.
  2. Problem sending an email. If you are having difficultly sending or receiving email, you may have a different type of problem. First, check your Internet connection. You can also check to see if you’ve run out of space. Delete larger files to make room in your email box.
  3. Accessing websites. If you are trying to get to a website, but the page isn’t loading, you’re not alone. Not being able to access a particular website is actually a very common problem. If you are having this issue, double check the URL. Make sure you are typing the right URL. If you are still having problems, try rebooting your computer and then connecting to the Internet again.

Problems with the Internet are fairly common. Instead of wasting time contacting tech support, go ahead and try some simple solutions for yourself. You may be able to fix most of your problems by yourself with just a little bit of troubleshooting.
