If you own a computer then you are fully aware of the many computer problems that can arise. There are a few that are actually quite common and there are ways to take care of these problems that won’t cost you a lot of money, if any.
- Slow performance. This is an issue that plagues many computer owners and it can be sometimes helped simply by using good maintenance on your computer. Clean out the registry, defrag and clean the registry all on a regular basis.
- Computer freezes or reboots. This is a common computer problem but it is more serious than a slow performance problem. However, it can be typically repaired by checking for spyware, updating the hardware drivers and increasing your virtual memory. These are just a few of the “fixes” that may take care of this issue.
- Loud fan noise. Commonly known as thrashing, this is when your fan is working overtime to cool your computer. This can be caused when you play a game with a lot of graphics or are on a page that makes your computer have to run harder. More memory can help with this problem but some have found that it is still a common occurrence if they are running Vista.
Obviously, if you are having major issues with your computer then it’s time to call a repairman out or have your computer checked out. However, these common issues can usually be taken care of right at home, without a lot of technical knowledge. As long as you keep your maintenance up on your computer, many of these common computer problems won’t worry you at all and if you do spot a problem it can be easily fixed in no time.
